Melissa joined our team in August 2020 as a Client Service Specialist. Drawing on her marketing experience and client‑focused mindset, she spearheads outreach to prospective clients and guides them through the early stages of our process, ensuring they feel welcome and well informed.

As Melissa learned the inner workings of Emerald, she streamlined our processes and proved that her expertise in office operations was exactly what the team needed.  She has become thoroughly familiar with our office systems and is now the go‑to person for internal processes, keeping day‑to‑day operations running smoothly and efficiently.

She earned a B.S. in Marketing with a minor in International Business and an MBA from St. Thomas Aquinas College. She spent 15 years in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, where she built expertise in strategic partnership marketing.  Although she came to Emerald without a background in financial planning, she has continued her professional growth by enhancing her financial acumen and earning a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach certification in 2023.

Personal Background: Melissa and her husband live in Stony Point with their three active daughters. She volunteers extensively in her daughters’ activities, has completed two NYC Marathons, and enjoys spending time outdoors. When she isn’t on the field watching her children play sports, she loves traveling with her family.  Her favorite destinations are Turks and Caicos, Bora Bora, Ireland, Hawaii and Antigua.
