If I remember correctly, I first met you when you were connected with the FAA Credit Union in Jamaica, NY.  You contacted my husband and I and offered your services.  We did not accept your offer at that time, but after my husband passed away in January 2014, I was in dire need of help. Not being well versed in financial matters, I did not know where to begin. That is when our association together began.  You were so helpful in consolidating my assets making it more manageable for me.  Your advice was invaluable, and continues to be, and you were so patient with me if I didn’t understand.  Over the years, you have invested my assets so wisely and increased my assets considerably.  Who would have thought I would be a “rich woman”.

I remember when Matt was just starting out his business and I looked at this guy and thought to myself - he is just too young to have such ambition in the field of financial advisement.  I always subscribed to the notion that one must have a good amount of experience under their belt for people to trust their money/life savings with someone.  Matt, however, kept his dreams big, never let my type of thoughts slow him down, kept trying marketing ploy after marketing ploy to get himself out there into the public.  And, low and behold, despite a few setbacks in his approach to build his business, he has created, what I believe to be, one of THE MOST successful businesses in Rockland County.  To his core, when you are a client of Matt, there is nothing he will not investigate to ensure you are in the best position you can be in towards your goals.  And when you are a friend, there is not a time and place Matt will not drop everything he is doing to make sure he responds with any help you need.  I say it all the time, I am the one who is truly blessed to know Matt and to be able to say I am his friend.  His accomplishment's, and his future success, will never be questioned by my thoughts again - he would conquer the world if he so desired.

I met Matthew many years ago. I was still working for TSA. That  had to be at least 15-20 years ago. One day I had to go over to the TSA credit Bureau offices and they told me he was there. They asked if I would be interested in speaking with him after they told me very briefly what he was doing. So I said, "Sure, what did I have to loose." Matthew met with me explained what he did and was proposing. I knew I had nothing to loose so I said sure. I gave him all sorts of information and sent him some more. In the interim I checked him out on my own and with my accountant. Everything came back positive. My wife and I have been a very satisfied client of Matthew's ever since. I believe at some point well after that he told me that we were one of his first clients. 

We wish him well and another fabulous 20 years plus in his business.

Frank and I met Matthew-through our accountant Sidney- many years ago. Emerald was fairly new at the time.

Immediately, he put us at ease (which is not easy to do for me!! LOL) and assisted us with our financial plan. Matthew went over and above in his advice-even advising us on funds that were not with Emerald.

Happy Anniversary!  What a wonderful milestone, and one that we and many others have benefitted from!  I don’t recall how many years we have been with you...I know we were with with Krane Investments for many years when you merged with them some time ago. 

Over the years that we have been with you, you have guided us through some difficult decisions.  In the years leading up to our retirement, we had some tough and lean times. Certainly the pandemic added a level of stress for everyone as we saw our investments take a nosedive.  You have been there to answer our incessant (and often stupid) questions, and to constantly reassure us. But most importantly, your savvy and informed guidance has enabled us to live a comfortable and enjoyable retirement life.  For that we thank you.

I met Matthew at a Sandler Sales Training course. He went on to use the principles to build a business that serves to help people navigate the maze of managing their money. His approach is not threatening and what I love the most is that he is available and ready to educate me on what is going on with my funds. Of course, I never remember, even with notes...So much for learning the language of financial thriving. I remind Matthew that since he has my program designed until I am 99 that he has to stay healthy so that he will  be my advisor when I get to that wonderful age!!  

Apparently Matthew has a knack for surrounding himself with knowledgeable, compassionate and efficient people to help him be of service to his clients. It's said that the personality of a company filters down from the top. 8 years ago God gifted us with a financial blessing. My initial impulse was to pay off our home. If you recall, your response was:" paying off the house wouldn't have been a mistake,but we can do better"

Under Gods provision, and your advice, we've certainly done better. I never imagined as a retail manager &civil service worker, that Koren and I would be in the sound and stable financial position we're in.

Congratulations on your 20th year in business Matthew!  I’ll never forget discussing my fear of putting money away for retirement with my two favorite people, Nancy and John O’Sullivan.  I had no clue who to go to and frankly didn’t really trust just anyone to handle my funds.  Lucky for me they told me about the Finance Manager they had had for years…you!

Matthew you made me feel so comfortable in our very first meeting and I have trusted you ever since.  You always make sense when I’m worried the sky is falling and you’ve talked me off a few cliffs especially during the year of Covid.  You seem to help me with everything even finding me the right people when I retired.  I haven’t ever feel like a client, I  feel like I’m a part of Emerald Retirement which is more of a family, than a business, thanks to you.

Matthew you are an exceptional person and deserve the best life has to offer.  Congratulations again on your 20th anniversary, wishing you many more years to come!

I don't know if this is too religious but it's the truth. 

The first time one meets a financial planner can be a bit stressful. Does he know what he's doing and more importantly, can he be trusted?  Is he a Bernie Madoff in disguise?  Yikes!

We were so very comfortable with Matthew's level of knowledge the first time we met him. That he had The Nativity on his tie cinched the deal (it was about a week before Christmas).  I can remember remarking to him, "I'm not worried. You have the Baby Jesus on your tie."

Since that time, which is roughly about 10 years, Matthew has been a source of comfort and reassurance during our semi-annual meetings while talking me off the "I'm afraid of running out of money" cliff. 

We are grateful for having had the opportunity to meet Matthew and to watch his practice grow with quality and competent colleagues. He and his staff have changed our lives for the better.

What a huge accomplishment celebrating your business’s 20 years of great service!  Although I’ve only been working with you for three years I feel so blessed! You have been and are so patient, non-pushy, funny, knowledgeable and always follow through with what you promise/say that you are going to do . I have to admit I was really reluctant, stressed out about trusting someone with my money (as you probably realized very quickly that I have “trust issues”). But your patience, sense of humor, and values put me at ease and now I feel you are truly looking out for me and putting my needs for today and the future first and am so grateful.

Oh my goodness, you have already been in business 20 years Matthew? It hardly seems possible that someone so young could be celebrating two decades of dedication, sacrifice and perseverance already! But to be honest, the more candles I gather on my own birthday cake, the younger most professionals I meet seem to be. Doctors, nurses, engineers, and pastors… most everyone is young enough to be my child or perhaps even my grandchild!!

This was the situation years ago when we first met you Matthew. We walked into Emerald Retirement with a bit of apprehension and when you greeted us my immediate thought was “Oh boy, this guy is so young he could be my son! Am I really going to trust him with our money, our lives?” I was definitely hesitant to offer you my complete trust. But, through the course of that initial meeting and the subsequent years, I have learned that not only can I trust you, I have come to rely on you as a trusted advisor. As someone who is extremely knowledgeable and calmly logical. As someone who is understanding and respectful of my anxieties and patient with all my questions. And just as importantly Greg and I both know you to be someone who is a decent, caring human being with solid values and a good soul! Your positive attitude, not just about money, but life in general, has been a stabilizing light more than a few times.

I guess to sum up Matthew, we have come to appreciate you as the special blessing you are in our lives!! Thank you!! And the best part is that you are young enough that we won’t outlive you!  So, we won’t ever have to find another financial planner! YAY!!

Congratulations on twenty years, I can’t thank you enough for your advice and consul during and prior to my retirement. It probably was 2006 when I first served Matt as a bartender. I found him to be a rational, friendly and intelligent patron. The kind of customer that’s a pleasure to care for. It was sometime within a few years after that he relayed to me that he was a financial advisor. Bartending being a side gig afforded me the opportunity to save money in my retirement plan. I spoke with Matt one day when I was questioning whether I should retire or not. He asked me to come see him, bring my particular financial figures. I’ll never forget his exact words to me after he looked at my finances and heard retirement plans. He said “Manny what you have is more than what three quarters of the world has for their (Link Removed) It was at that point I felt a great relief and moved forward with my life. We thank Matthew, and everyone at Emerald, for helping us to navigate the changing seasons of our lives. 

We met Matthew while our kids were still in high school. He helped us plan handling college related costs while navigating our transition into empty nest life.
