Your Financial Planning

Planning Team Growth

Over the past several years, Emerald Retirement has continued to grow intentionally and thoughtfully. As we have added capacity and expanded responsibilities across the team, our goal has remained straightforward: to provide more consistent service, improve responsiveness, and ensure that important details are handled accurately and on time.

For clients, this means your financial life is supported by a broader team working from the same planning process, standards, and priorities. Rather than relying on one person to manage every moving part, we now have greater depth across planning, meeting preparation, follow-through, and day-to-day client service. The result is a stronger support structure around your plan, with fewer bottlenecks and better continuity.

"My team represents an important enhancement to our personalized service. They are working continuously with you and behind the scenes to make your experience more organized, more responsive, and more dependable."

— Matthew Clement

Kate McCloskey

Kate McCloskey

Financial Planner

Kate joined Emerald in August 2022 as a Virtual Paraplanner. While she still supports Matthew with client meeting follow-up and financial planning, her role has evolved — she is now serving her own clients as a financial advisor. Kate is meticulously focused on helping clients develop financial plans and habits that enable them to meet their current and future goals by controlling what is in their control: behavior and decision-making.

Supporting Matthew's and Kate's work are three additional team members, each playing an important role in the preparation, coordination, and follow-through that surround a high-quality planning relationship. Even though your actual meetings are with Matthew and/or Kate, the rest of the team is what makes that meeting — and all follow-up — happen effectively and efficiently.

Ongoing Support Between Meetings

The same team-based approach applies between meetings as well. If you call or email with a planning question, a service request, or a quick check on something, the person responding may be someone other than the advisor you met with most recently. This is directly resulting from our internal workflows and communication processes that allow the right team member to step in quickly, stay aligned, and keep things moving.

Meeting Scheduling Process Update

To make scheduling and rescheduling easier, we will be coordinating future review meetings through Calendly — a secure online scheduling tool that connects directly to our calendar and shows our real-time availability. It reduces the back-and-forth of finding a convenient time and makes it easy to confirm or adjust your meeting in just a few clicks.

1

Receive a Calendar Invitation

When it is time for your next appointment, you will receive a calendar invitation from Emerald Scheduling with a proposed date and time.

2

Confirm or Reschedule

If the proposed time is not convenient, simply use the Reschedule link in the invitation to select another time that works better for you.

3

Added to Your Calendar Automatically

Your meeting will be automatically added and is compatible with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook.

4

Reminders Sent as the Date Approaches

As your meeting date approaches, you will receive reminder notifications by email and text.

Your options remain the same. Calendly is an additional tool — not a replacement for personal communication. If you would rather call our office and speak with Lisa or another team member, you are always welcome to do that. Call, email, or text us whenever you prefer.

Commitment to Service

By building a stronger team around a shared planning process, we are working to make your experience more organized, more responsive, and more dependable over time. If you are ever unsure who the best point of contact is, simply reach out the way you normally would — we will make sure your question gets to the right person and is handled promptly and carefully.

We appreciate your feedback as we continue refining our processes to make things easier and more efficient for you.
