What does it mean to be a SmartVestor Pro?
As an advisor within the SmartVestor program:
I agree to the SmartVestor Code of Conduct.
I believe everyone deserves access to solid, professional investing guidance. I have earned my position as a SmartVestor Pro because of my experience in the industry and my drive to help others.
I provide a refreshing twist on financial planning.
I have the heart of a teacher, not the attitude of a salesman. I’m someone you can feel comfortable talking to and someone you can trust. We’ll work together to create a plan to help you reach your goals.
I care about your future.
I’m more than a “financial planner” – I’m someone you can relate to and share your dreams with. I fit your investments to your life, help you understand what you’re investing in and why, and encourage you to stick with your long-term goals.

Who is Dave Ramsey?
America’s trusted voice on money and business, Dave Ramsey is a personal money-management expert and extremely popular national radio personality. His seven best-selling books—Financial Peace, More Than Enough, The Total Money Makeover, EntreLeadership, Dave Ramsey’s Complete Guide to Money, The Legacy Journey and Smart Money Smart Kids—have sold more than 11 million copies combined.
By age 26 he had established a $4 million real estate portfolio, only to lose it by age 30. Using the wisdom he gained, Ramsey rebuilt his financial life and now teaches others how to be responsible with their money, so they can acquire enough wealth to take care of loved ones, retire with dignity, and give generously to others.
In 1992, Ramsey founded The Lampo Group, LLC to provide financial counseling, through various means, to anyone who wants to better understand the principles of proper money management. Twenty years later, the company has grown from a card table in his living room to more than 800 team members and has been voted one of the “Best Places to Work” in Nashville numerous times. In 2014, the company rebranded to become Ramsey Solutions as part of an ongoing plan for growth and longevity. Ramsey runs a multi-million-dollar company with a nationally recognized brand, but he defines success by the number of lives changed through his message of hope.
Ramsey offers that life-changing message as host of a nationally syndicated radio program, The Dave Ramsey Show, which is heard by 14 million listeners each week on more than 600 radio stations and digitally through podcasts, online audio streaming and a 24-hour online streaming video channel. In 2009, he was honored as a National Association of Broadcaster’s Marconi Award winner. Ramsey was inducted into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2013 and the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2015.
He is the creator of Financial Peace University (FPU), a program that helps people dump their debt, take control of their money, and learn new behaviors around money that are founded on commitment and accountability. More than 5 million people have attended Financial Peace University, Legacy Journey and Smart Money Smart Kidsclasses at their workplace, church, military base, local nonprofit organization or community group.
Ramsey offers his message of hope through a variety of mediums and products. More than a million people have attended a live event, including more than 40,000 EntreLeadership participants. His high school and college curriculums are offered in more than 16,000 schools and educational institutions. The Dave Sayssyndicated column is available to more than 8 million readers monthly. Thousands of children have enjoyed his entertaining and educational book series. Daveramsey.com offers free informational articles and streaming of The Dave Ramsey Show.
Who is Chris Hogan?
Chris Hogan might have been the most unlikely person to wind up working as a financial speaker. Why? Years ago, Chris was an All-American college football player who pushed future NFL players all over the field—far removed from the world of helping others find Financial Peace.
For Chris, the path from football to where he is today was a long, but meaningful, journey. While he was a vice president of a well-respected company, helping clients manage all phases of their businesses, he realized how so many families, marriages and children were being affected by money issues. He felt powerless as he sat behind his desk and watched his clients throw away their financial futures. Chris knew things needed to change.
That’s when he met Dave Ramsey, and his career found a new direction. Today, he helps spread Dave’s message of financial hope to audiences everywhere. An engaging and humorous speaker, Chris is an expert on subjects like mortgages, healthcare and investing. To promote financial education, he speaks at colleges and businesses, and conducts on-site training sessions at companies. Chris also works with high-profile clients, such as athletes, entertainers and businessmen, to help them develop a financial strategy to protect their wealth and secure their future.
Chris has had insurance licensure and banking certifications in three states. He holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown College and a master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania. Chris lives with his wife, Melissa, and their three sons in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Who is Chris Brown?
“Steward tomorrow’s opportunities by preparing the heart today.”
A dynamic young pastor and speaker, Chris Brown joined the Dave Ramsey team in 2014 to carry the message of stewardship and intentional living to churches nationwide. Chris began his ministry in the trenches as a campus pastor before using his previous business and real estate training to tackle numerous executive-level pastoral duties. During this time Chris managed multi-million dollar congregational budgets and supervised the launch and development of eight church campuses totaling more than 12,000 members.
Prior to joining the Ramsey organization Chris spent eight years leading people to Christ while growing churches in North Carolina and Florida. He was ordained in 2007 and often draws from his childhood and college experiences to deliver messages of exceptional faith in God and His love.
Chris and his wife, Holly, reside in Brentwood, Tennessee. They have three children: Max, Jack, and Annie.
Who is Rachel Cruze?
Rachel Cruze grew up learning how to win with money. As Dave Ramsey’s daughter, she was taught from an early age how to give generously, spend wisely, and save for the future. She understands the dangers of debt, and she’s seen firsthand the damage it can do. Now Rachel has a passion to help others learn the same principles, and she’s traveling the country doing just that.
Rachel is a personable and engaging speaker who’s spoken at live events, major conferences and professional organizations, showing people how to take control of their money and avoid big money mistakes. Her message is simple: Handle your money with wisdom.
Rachel says; “I feel very strongly about reaching people who need this message,” she says. And she’s excited that her passions and strengths are being used to spread hope. “I am so happy I can use the platform my dad has built to reach even more people.”
Rachel has a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Tennessee. She lives with her husband, Winston, in Franklin, Tennessee.

In the area of personal development, Christy covers leadership, life balance, setting and reaching goals, creating boundaries, and time management. Who is Anthony ONeill?
At age 19, Anthony ONeal was deep in debt and short of hope, and he had no direction of where his life was headed. But after a life-changing encounter, he turned his life around and committed to helping students find and pursue their passions. Since 2003, Anthony ONeal Youth Ministries has helped thousands of students succeed with money in their work and personal lives. Now Anthony has joined Ramsey Solutions to spread this encouraging message to students nationwide.
